SSL Customer Cert
To use a third-party SSL certificate, the certificate must cover every domain listed on the Stratus site. If a Stratus instance has multiple domains, such as example.com, example2.com, and example3.com, the certificate must be a multi-domain, or "wildcard" certificate to cover all domains used. Separate certificates for separate domains cannot be installed on the same Stratus instance.
It's not unusual for a single Magento instance to be configured for multistore. In this configuration, the Magento installation can host multiple storefronts powered by the same Magento backend. Each store would have its own unique domain. If a third-party SSL certificate is desired, it must cover all domains used in the multistore instance.
Installing a certificate
The easiest way to install your certificate is to send a request to MageMojo Support . However, a custom certificate can be installed manually:
- Open the Stratus control panel.
- Go to SSL > Customer Cert in the left-hand menu.
- Enter the SSL Certficate Private Key, SSL Certficate, and SSL Intermediate Certficate, CA Bundle, Or Root Certificate provided by the SSL Certificate issuer.
- Click Update to save the certificate.
The certificate will be pushed to CloudFront, which can take up to 30 minutes to become active.
